How to backup your emails using Email Archive

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to backup your emails using the Email Archive solution.

Step 1: Log into the Email Archive dashboard using the email address that you’ve received the welcome email. This is typically the main email address on your 1-grid profile.

Step 2: Click on Add Backup

Step 3: Sign in to your email address that you wish to backup by selecting the appropriate option. For this example, we will be using “Other”.

Step 4: Click on Advanced setting

Step 5: Enter the required information:

Protocol = IMAP

Security = None

Port = 143

Security = SSL

Port = 993

Host = The IP address or server name of the server you are doing the backup from e.g. mail.example.net (replace example.net with your domain name)

Click on Save

Step 6: Enter the email address and its password on that server you are backing up from:

Click on Start Backup

That’s it! The emails will now be backed up to the cloud where it can be restored at a later stage
