cPanel: How to create a new Database with Database User?

This article provides you with steps on how to create a database in cPanel and link it to a database user with full access to the database.

Step 1- Login to cPanel

• Please see our article on logging into cPanel here.

Step 2 – Click on MySQL Database Wizard

Step 3 – Add a name for your new Database

• Click Next Step

Step 4 – Add a Username and Password for your Database User

• Click Create User

Step 5 – Select ALL PRIVILEGES

• Click Next Step

Step 6 – Completed!

• You will see a confirmation message in green saying your database and user has been created.
