This quick guide will take you through the steps of creating an FTP account on cPanel
Step 1- Login to cPanel
- Please see our article on logging into cPanel here.
Step 2- Click on FTP Accounts.
Step 3- Complete FTP account details.
- Choose FTP login name
- Choose a password or use the password generator.
- Optional -Set the Access directory (This is the directory the user will automatically be directed to upon login)
- Optional- Choose the quota for FTP
- Click Create FTP Account
TIP: FTP Login details for example account above would look like the below:
FTP Host : 41.185.8.225 (Server IP address)
FTP Username: admin@1grid-test.co.za
FTP Password: **********
