cPanel: How to update PHP resource limits

This quick guide will take you through the steps of managing your PHP  settings via cPanel. 

When you install CMS like WordPress, Joomla or Drupal you will normally install Themes and plugins to get your website up and running. All these Add-ons will require  a set of minimum PHP resources to work correctly.

In the example below we use the popular WP theme Avada to see what the minimum requirements are and update accordingly:

Setting PHP recourse limits in cPanel

Step 1 – Login to cPanel

  • Please see our article on logging into cPanel here.

Step 2 – Click Select PHP Version under Software section. 

Step 3 – Select  PHP Options

Step 4 – Update PHP options accordingly

INFO: Once changed these settings apply automatically. To revert any settings made here you are able to click on Reset to default.
